A 12-Day Itinerary to Colombia
Here's how I spent 12 days in Colombia

| Day 3 | Lost City Trek Day 1 | Transfer to starting point, trek about 8km |
| Day 4 | Lost City Trek Day 2 | About 15km |
| Day 5 | Lost City Trek Day 3 | Summit day + trek back to camp - about 15km |
| Day 6 | Lost City Trek Day 4 | Trek about 13km, transfer back to Santa Marta, do rush service laundry |
| Day 7 | Tayrona Park Day 1 | Trek ~4 hours from the Calabazo entrance to Ecolodge Playa Brava Teyumakke |
| Day 8 | Tayrona Park Day 2 | Trek through the park to the El Zaino entrance, overnight close to the front, such as Camping Tequendama Playa Arrecifes Parque Tayrona |
| Day 9 | Minca | Transfer back to Santa Marta, grab bag, and transfer to Minca. Stay at Masaya Casas Viejas. Finca la Victoria |

Tips
- Go with an Indigenous tour operator. I went with Wiwa Tours
- You can go Tayrona hut-to-hut on your own. Catch a public bus from Santa Marta and ask to be dropped off at the Calabazo entrance, and hike the park from back to front.
- If I was to redo this, I would have spent more time in Minca and zero time in Bogota.
- Bring LOTS of mosquito repellent.
